Welcome to Woodside House.
Your
hosts are Ann and John Morrissey, this is our seventh year in the bed
and breakfast business, and we enjoy making a weary traveller feel welcome
and comfortable.
We have six
guest bedrooms decorated to a high standard with pine furnishings, and
a guest sitting room where you can socialise and make friends.
The
house is an unusual, spacious country house, designed by a very well
known local architect and has some special features.
We are close
to the world famous Waterford Crystal and within easy reach of a spectacular
coastline and the Comeragh Mountains, ten
minutes drive from the centre of Waterford City on the main Cork road.
Ann
has worked for many years as a chef, her breakfast menu includes traditional
full Irish breakfast and of course a vegetarian option.
Choose from an extensive buffet selection with for example, prune and
apricot compote, museli, fresh fruit and yoghurts, cereals, home made
brown soda bread, etc.
Our evening meals include fresh Irish salmon, Irish lamb, chicken marinated with yogurt, and honey roasted pork. Deserts include Irish cheesecake, pavlova with local strawberries and much more.
